Jason Ballard has dedicated his life to working on big problems at the intersection of human civilization and the natural world, most notably as the co-founder and CEO of ICON, the construction technologies company leading the way into the future of human shelter and homebuilding using 3D printing and other scientific and technological breakthroughs.
Ballard has also served as the a co-founder and the former CEO and President of TreeHouse, the eco-friendly Home Upgrade Company working to normalize sustainable and healthy approaches to home improvement. Prior to co-founding ICON and TreeHouse, Ballard worked at a homeless shelter, in various roles in sustainable building, and as an environmental consultant for ACRT. Ballard is a GLG Social Impact Fellow and served on the Carbon War Room / Rocky Mountain Institute Energy Think Tank. Ballard hails from East Texas and studied conservation biology at Texas A&M University. He is currently enrolled in a masters program in Space Resources at Colorado School of Mines. He resides in Austin, TX with his wife and two children.
Alex Le Roux
Co-Founder + CTO, ICON
Alex Le Roux is the co-founder and CTO of ICON, the construction technologies company leading the way into the future of human shelter and homebuilding using 3D printing and other scientific and technological breakthroughs.
Prior to co-founding ICON, Alex began his career by co-founding Vesta Printers where their mission was building large-scale, affordable 3D printers that bring automation and customization to the construction industry. This venture then led to Le Roux joining forces with long-time entrepreneurs and business leaders, Evan Loomis and Jason Ballard, to co-found ICON.
Le Roux graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering. He resides in Austin, TX.

Evan Loomis has been a successful entrepreneur for more than 15 years and most recently co-founded the Austin-based startup, ICON, the construction technologies company leading the way into the future of human shelter and homebuilding using 3D printing and other scientific and technological breakthroughs.
Evan began his career as an Investment Banker on Wall Street. From there, he co-founded Wedgwood Circle, an angel investment group with a focus on the media and entertainment sectors. In 2010, he co-founded TreeHouse, the eco-friendly Home Upgrade Company disrupting the field of home improvement.
In 2017, Evan launched a holding company called Saturn Five with the mission of building companies that matter. Unlike traditional VC firms, Saturn Five designs and launches companies from scratch, working hands-on in the early stages to launch and scale companies.
Evan is a start-up mentor at Techstars Austin, SKU and Praxis. He is the co-author of Get Backed from Harvard Business Press (2015) and Elon Musk: This Book Is About Rockets! (2017). Evan is a graduate of Mays Business School at Texas A&M University where he earned his BBA in finance. He lives in Austin, TX, with his wife, Dr. Brandi Loomis, a pediatrician and two children.
