ICON Named to Fast Company’s Annual List of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2021
For the third year in a row, ICON has been identified as one of the most innovative tech companies changing the urban planning and real estate market.
ICON has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2021. The list honors the businesses that have not only found a way to be resilient in the past year, but also turned those challenges into impact-making processes. These companies did more than survive, they thrived—making an impact on their industries and culture as a whole. This year’s Most Innovative Companies list features 463 businesses from 29 countries. ICON is no stranger to innovation and adaptation in what has been a truly unprecedented year. To date, ICON has delivered two dozen 3D-printed homes/structures in the U.S. and Mexico.
Sustainability, resiliency and affordability of the homes ICON builds continue to be the heart and soul of the mission to provide shelter for all humans. This past year, the company delivered the world's first community of 3D printed homes in Mexico for families living on $3 per day, completed a series of 3D-printed homes for the homeless in Austin, TX, launched “Project Olympus” with NASA to develop a space-based construction system for future exploration of the Moon, delivered America’s first mainstream housing development of 3D-printed homes for sale in Austin, TX, closed a series A financing round and grew the team size by 50%.
