Staff Accountant

We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join the Finance/AccountingTeam. The right candidate will have experience with general ledger accounting entries, month end close, treasury transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.  This role will be flexible and evolving as ICON grows and as such, the role will be dynamic. This role is based in Austin, TX and reports to the Financial Reporting Accountant.



  • Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and underlying transactions.
  • Primary point of contact for day-to-day treasury activity and credit card administration.
  • Participate actively in monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare recurring journal entries related to ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) and analyze new leases for proper treatment.
  • Analyze, record and manage activity related to non-manufacturing fixed assets.
  • Assistance with preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Research technical accounting issues, and drive updates related to new GAAP guidelines.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Assistance with annual financial statement audit and tax compliance with external Audit and Tax Partners.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Support other departments within ICON as necessary.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting work experience.
  • CPA required.
  • Strong preference for experience in manufacturing or construction.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Prior exposure to a variety of accounting systems, expense software, Microsoft Excel,  as well as interaction with banking platforms.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with team.
