Senior QA Manager, BuildOS

ICON is looking for an open-minded, structured thinker who loves to solve complex problems and appreciates the value of prototyping and iterating applications over time. As a Senior Manager of QA for the BuildOS group at ICON, you will be responsible for owning the QA strategy for the portfolio of visualization and planning tools in BuildOS. This role reports to the Director of BuildOS Software Applications and is based in our Austin, TX lab.



  • Strong hands-on ability to implement QA standards and set up QA Automation framework.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership on QA best practices.
  • Develop a QA strategy for the BuildOS portfolio and a hiring plan for the QA team.
  • Work with DevOps and integration with Jira and the development team on automated testing.
  • Ability to develop test plans for BuildOS applications.



  • 12+ years of experience.
  • BS in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing a QA team for a portfolio of applications.
  • Work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders to understand requirements and develop test plans.
  • Experience with web based testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, etc.
  • Experience testing REST APIs using technologies such as Postman, Rest Assured, etc.



  • Experience working with Jira and integrated test management tools.
  • Experience working with microservices.
  • Experience working with AWS.
  • Experience integrating automated testing with modern CI/CD workflows.
  • Can be remote but must be willing and able to travel to Austin.
