Assistant Project Manager, Physical Infrastructure

ICON is seeking a Construction Project Manager to aid ICON’s growth by coordinating the design and construction of revolutionary office spaces, R&D facilities, robotics factories, and concrete batch plants. This individual will work as a member of the Physical Infrastructure team and will work with project managers to coordinate construction projects, including, budgeting, plans, bidding, scheduling, quality control, inspections, and completion. Most importantly, the ideal applicant will be an enthusiastic member of a dynamic startup team, which is developing revolutionary automated construction technology to serve humanity. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX campus and will report to the Project Manager, Physical Infrastructure.


  • Provide job costing assistance, including budgets, billings, A/P, A/R, Payrolls, CPR's. Serve as a liaison between Project Managers and Accounting Department.
  • Assist with draw requests as necessary.
  • Ensure that all contract milestones are being met, documented, and communicated.
  • Review client contracts to understand accounting requirements & protocols.
  • Keep project paperwork organized, documentation and tracking, filing and scanning, RFI's, submittals, various special projects.
  • Support and work hand-in-hand with Project Managers for the duration of each project. 
  • Draft and establish scopes of work for trade partners and ensure work is complete per the defined scopes.
  • Coordinate and schedule stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist corporate staff with other duties on an as-needed basis.


  • Excellent listening skills and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A proven track record of organization and administrative proficiency.
  • The ability to identify, analyze and execute on administrative needs.
  • Proficient computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications and in accounting cost management software.
  • 3+ years of experience as a project administrator or project engineer, preferably within the construction industry.


  • Strong understanding of construction accounting.
  • Prior construction experience in the City of Austin.
  • Ability to prioritize and stay cool in a dynamic start-up environment.
