Associate Technical Recruiter

ICON is looking for an Associate Technical Recruiter to support the recruitment process for key software engineering, product testing, skilled technician, engineering or manufacturing searches on ICON’s growing team. As an Associate Technical Recruiter at ICON, you will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting the team we need to further ICON’s mission of making dignified housing accessible to everyone and advance humanity with our technology. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX lab and will report to the Technical Recruiting Lead on ICON’s People team.


  • Own assigned operations requisitions through the full recruiting cycle. 
  • Partner with hiring managers to learn the requirements of roles and the corresponding skills and experience.
  • Create candidate-facing job advertisements/posts, identifying and utilizing additional recruitment marketing strategies where necessary. 
  • Source passive talent necessary to support candidate pipeline. 
  • Screen applicants and present qualified candidates to hiring teams. 
  • Ensure data accuracy within the ATS for all operations requisitions.
  • Facilitate the interview process including scheduling, coordinating travel and ensuring interview feedback collection.


  • 2+ years of Recruiting, Human Resources or Sales related experience.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and recruiting best practices for the software engineering, product testing, skilled technician, engineering or manufacturing industries is a plus.
  • Ability to think creatively to source and recruit passive candidates. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of employment law and best practices related to hiring and interviewing. 


  • Experience using an applicant tracking system.
  • Proficiency with recruiting KPIs.
