Operations Data Analyst - Temporary

ICON is looking for an Operations Data Analyst (RaaS) - temporary to help streamline ICON’s Robotics as a Service business model. In this role, the individual will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting on operations data from our large-scale 3D printing projects. The Operations Data Analyst - temporary will be asked to use data to discover useful information about our project operations and inform strategic decision-making to help ensure successful project delivery. This is a unique opportunity to define operations data science practices for the first large-scale 3D-printing construction project in history. Full-time employment is a possibility at the conclusion of the temporary employment period.This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX Campus and will report to the Sr. Manager of Business Model and Operations Strategy. The length of the position will be 3-6 months. 


  • Manage analytics and reporting of operational data from our large-scale 3D-printing construction project near Austin, TX.
  • Help define data analytics practices for modeling and analyzing 3D-printing telemetry, material utilization, labor utilization, and project logistics data.
  • Report on key performance indicators aligned to an established roadmap of direct construction cost reduction initiatives.
  • Coordinate with leadership to inform the progress of construction projects and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Identify project operations risks and inform problem-solving and/or risk-mitigation decisions with data analytics.
  • Work with key stakeholders to define a path towards a profitable Robotics as a Service (RaaS) business.


  • 1+ year of professional experience in data analytics and visualization.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in computer science, data science, or related statistical analytics fields.


  • Highly proficient in data science and/or statistical analytics core techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly understand and translate complex business and technical information.
  • Demonstrated ability to visualize and present data for Director/VP-level executives.
  • Experience in industrial sector companies.
