Site Safety Assurance Specialist

ICON is looking for a Site Safety Assurance Specialist  to own the safety function at ICON. As the Site Safety Assurance Specialist at ICON, you will be responsible for implementing and improving our safety procedures at our ICON facilities and ICON construction sites.. This role is based on ICON’s Austin, TX campus and will report to the Sr. Safety Assurance Manager on ICON’s Operations team.



  • Enforce and maintain HSE policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Assist with the design safe workspaces and create policies for employees to follow that minimize job-related hazards.
  • Review existing ICON standards and enforce according to current trends & needs.
  • Perform risk assessment on production lines and equipment according to manufacturing safety standards.
  • Follow technological improvements and provide counseling on machinery safety.
  • Manage change requests on safety systems and devices for existing equipment.
  • Provide field safety oversight of field printing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal health and safety regulations.
  • Lead and document accident/incident investigations to determine root cause, prevention and corrective measures.
  • Attend, coordinate, and conduct safety orientation and training programs.
  • Participate in and contribute to project planning and hazard analysis.


  • 4+ yrs in a safety function in manufacturing or construction.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, UBC, ISO, ANSI, RIA, NFPA, GB, codes.
  • CHST, CMSE, and or CSP preferred.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Direct experience building and implementing safety procedures in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience in working with numerous city, county, state, and federal permitting authorities.
