People (HR) Operations Manager

ICON is looking for a People Operations Manager to lead the People Ops area of ICON’s growing People team. As the People Operations Manager at ICON, you will be responsible for designing and iterating the HR processes that drive employee experience. Your areas of oversight will include onboarding, change management, HR systems and processes. Join us as we work towards our mission of making dignified housing accessible to everyone and advance humanity with our technology. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX lab and will report to the Director of HR on ICON’s People team. This role supervises a team of two.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain strong, efficient people processes including implementation and the creation of all necessary documentation. 
  • Lead the creation of all end user workflows in the HRIS/payroll system. 
  • Ensure the data integrity of all information stored in the HRIS. 
  • Own the next generation of ICON’s onboarding experience including systems, orientation, swag and more. 
  • Manage all employee surveys including design, testing and execution as well as feedback tools. 
  • Provide guidance/evaluation on all people-related tools/systems. 
  • Oversee the tactical processes of onboarding, transfers, terminations and other changes. 
  • Grow and lead your team including the HR Coordinator and Worksite Experience Specialist. 
  • Serve as backup administrator for payroll and benefit operations as led by our Payroll & Benefits Manager. 
  • Track and advise the people team on HR compliance obligations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in HR/people operations or in general human resources.
  • Prior experience configuring/designing workflows for HRIS optimization. 
  • Prior experience leading employee surveying. 
  • Working knowledge of TX employment law. 
  • Prior experience with large non-exempt employee populations. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior HR experience in environments with federal contracts preferred. 
  • Prior HR experience in companies of 500+ employees preferred.
  • Prior experience in SOX compliant environments preferred.
