Fleet Maintenance Lead

ICON is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Lead to ensure the reliability of ICON equipment and minimize printing down time.  Proper planning will ensure a predictive approach supersedes a reactive response. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation and execution of preventative maintenance programs both in the field and in-house. Identifying, communicating, and documenting problematic trends will be vital concerning equipment reliability. Must be capable of working day or night shifts, weekends, and swift schedule changes when needed.  This role reports to the Manager of Support & Service and is based in Austin, TX. 


  • Coordinate optimal timing for Fleet Maintenance Technicians to perform services on concrete 3D printers both in the field and at the facility.  
  • Oversee the servicing of multiple project site locations and prioritize accordingly. 
  • Maintain accurate repair or replacement part inventories and tooling.
  • Procure document control management and change orders for all procedures.
  • Mentor and train Fleet Maintenance Technicians with regards to safety, quality, documentation, and technical aptitude.
  • Develop and track incident metrics that reflect problematic trends.      


  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.


  • Solid time-management skills and communication skills
  • Electrical, mechanical, and software aptitude with hands-on experience.
  • Proficient with common testing tools to include multimeters, calipers, torque wrenches, flow meters, and IR guns.  
  • Ability to make strategic decisions under pressure.
