Fleet Maintenance Technician

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will use your mechanical and electrical aptitude to service the most sophisticated concrete 3D printers in the world both in the field and in-house. Your ability to perform timely services will be detrimental to the reliability of Icon equipment. You will be part of a devoted team that is working on the most advanced home building technology to date. This role will be based in our Austin,TX lab and will report to the Fleet Maintenance Lead. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform precision measurements, adjustments, and replacements of mechanical, electrical, and fluid components.
  • Utilize safe work practices that incorporate company and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain accurate spare part inventories and tooling for the Vulcan 3d printer and Magma system.
  • Identify potential problems that could affect equipment performance, safety, or quality. 
  • Aid in the development of new policies and procedures that advance the department and ICON.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. 
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical and fluid schematics.
  • Experience with common testing tools to include multimeters, calipers, torque wrenches, flow meters, and IR guns. 
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. 
  • Understanding of control system devices. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operation teams. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and willingness to take initiative. 
  • Must be willing to work either day or night shifts, weekends, and swift schedule changes when needed. 
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, climb ladders, and lift 50 pounds in outdoor environments is required.
