Director of Digital Infrastructure

ICON is looking for a Director of Digital Infrastructure to lead our internal technology products and systems. As the Director of Digital Infrastructure at ICON, you will ensure our systems support business operations, contribute to business innovation, and remain robust and secure to support our growth. This role is based in Austin, TX and will report to the SVP of Operations.



  • Lead the Digital Infrastructure team, comprised of Data Insights, 3D Printing Network Engineering, Information Security, and Information Technology.
  • Synthesize disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of what our users important problems are, what the data means, what users are motivated by, where the impact could be, and the systems needed to support them.
  • Work with business stakeholders, end users, and ICON VP of Software to ensure ICON systems are modern, pioneering, and continuously solving emerging business problems.
  • Deliver data-driven insights at the executive level on a regular basis.
  • Ensure ICON’s technology is secure against cyber threats and demonstrate this to public sector stakeholders.



  • 10+ years leading technology or information organizations.



  • A highly analytical mindset and eagerness to solve technical problems with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Interest in working with and using large scale data to solve valuable business problems.
  • Prior project management experience, including successfully setting priorities, meeting schedules, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience leading technical integrations and system implementations.
  • Familiar with cyber security and technology standards, privacy and compliance frameworks and their potential impact on businesses.
