Materials Supply Chain Manager

ICON is looking for a Materials Supply Chain Manager to lead the supply chain function for our Lavacrete operation. As a Materials Supply Chain Manager at ICON, you will be responsible for concrete supply chain execution needed to further ICON’s mission of making dignified housing accessible to everyone and advance humanity with our technology. This role is based in Austin, TX and reports to the Director of Material Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate and up to date concrete Bills of Material.
  • Author supplier bid packages and facilitate source awards.
  • Create work back schedules to ensure inventory and product availability for manufacturing needs to support demand.
  • Participate in purchasing activities associated with concrete production and sourcing. Complete line item source awards, new supplier development, and item-master upload.
  • Collaborate with Finance during the quotation process to ensure all purchases support the defined supply chain strategy and plan, including appropriate credit limits, vendor relationship management, and logistics.
  • Implement programs to ensure continuous Lavacrete admixture supply.
  • Help to maximize cost reduction. Continually measure and report on gross margin status.
  • Ensure the highest ethical standards of integrity and professionalism are adhered to in the procurement process.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing supply chain team to ensure use of consistent tools and processes across ICON. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of work experience in concrete or related industry.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with procurement, finance, and logistics/ 
  • Exposure to a concrete batching operation.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents.
  • Demonstrated history of resourcefulness and adaptability to solve business needs.
  • Excellent modeling skills in Excel, strong writing skills in Word.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or related field preferred.
