Senior Mobile Developer

ICON is looking for a passionate, user-focused developer with experience building enterprise level mobile applications. As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will lead the team in designing and building our robotic construction controllers for operators in the field.You will have the unique opportunity to develop an industry-first controls system while collaborating with a diverse team of machine operators, designers, construction professionals, architects, scientists, and engineers. This role reports to the VP of Platform and is based in ICON’s Austin, TX lab.



  • Collaborate with designers, operators, controls engineers, and the development team to build effective mobile interfaces for operating large, robotic systems.
  • Architect solutions with a focus on testability and functional isolation.
  • Ensure interactive and visual designs achieve the highest level of usability, desirability and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure UL compliance for operator controls.



  • Experience deploying mobile applications for internal and external users.
  • Experience leading technical team members for isolated initiatives and long term projects.
  • An open mind to try solutions that may seem impossible at first.
  • Ability to self-source knowledge from cross functional partners.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing.



  • Android, iOS and/or Flutter development experience.
  • Experience deploying to iOS or Google App Store.
  • Passion for teaching and applying mobile best practices.
  • Experience with high fidelity mobile animations.
  • Modern CI/CD workflows. (Github, Jenkins, Travis, Circle CI, etc.)
