Technical Recruiter

ICON is looking for a Technical Recruiter to own the recruitment process for assigned technology searches on ICON’s growing team. As a Technical Recruiter at ICON, you will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting the team we need to further ICON’s mission of making dignified housing accessible to everyone and advance humanity with our technology. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX lab and will report to the Director of HR on ICON’s People team.



  • Manage assigned technology requisitions through the full recruiting cycle. 
  • Work with hiring managers to scope out open roles and the corresponding skills and experience.
  • Create candidate-facing job advertisements/posts, identifying and utilizing additional recruitment marketing strategies where necessary. 
  • Source passive talent as needed.
  • Screen applicants and present qualified candidates to hiring managers. 
  • Ensure data accuracy within the ATS for all owned requisitions.
  • Facilitate the interview process including scheduling, coordinating travel and ensuring interview feedback collection.
  • Generate and extend offers to final candidates. 


  • 4+ years of talent acquisition experience, including but not limited to sourcing, coordination and recruitment.
  • 1+ year of experience owning mechanical engineering and/or software engineering requisitions. 
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting passive candidates. 
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with recruiting KPIs.
  • Thorough understanding of best practices for an equitable and inclusive hiring process.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
